Snake Merch

  • The old Dan cant come to the phone right now. Why? Oh…

    CAUSE HES DEAD.

I just about died over when Zachary & Madeline, hosts of the amazing Evolution of a Snake podcast approached me to design merch for their community. The podcast mainly covers Taylor Swift through a comical and respectfully critical lens, but they also are expanding to popular culture at large and wanted merch that was inspired by the HBIC but didn't explicitly reference her.

  • I wanted to include inside jokes that I found in the EOAS patreon and discord communities. To make sure that the merch felt timeless and truly wearable, I asked myself the entire time: "would I actually wear this?" Keeping that in mind made the designs more mysterious than overt. Ideally, people ask where the shirt is from, rather than, 'what podcast is that?"

I referenced punk illustration styles & classic screen prints to execute on the look and feel. Most of the ideas for the content were based on the podcasts' community. All illustrations & assets are done by me, including much of the type.
